Vice President JD Vance has plenty to focus on, but social media seems obsessed with one thing: his eyes. Specifically, the ongoing debate about whether he wears eyeliner.

Despite repeated denials—even from his wife, Usha Vance—the speculation surrounding his allegedly enhanced lash line refuses to fade. With every public appearance, fresh jokes and theories flood the internet.Vance’s striking blue eyes first started drawing attention when rumors swirled about his potential vice presidency. Even Donald Trump couldn’t resist commenting on his running mate’s looks.

“He looks like a young Abraham Lincoln,” Trump remarked in a Fox News interview.Usha Vance previously told Puck News that her husband’s lashes are completely natural, even admitting, “I’ve always been jealous of those lashes.”

Former congressman George Santos also weighed in last year, insisting that Vance isn’t wearing makeup. “I’ve met him in person before he was a senator, and I can confirm he has long eyelashes. They cast a shadow on his waterline when in studios full of lights,” Santos posted on X in October 2024.

The eyeliner debate flared up again during a recent meeting between Vance, President Donald Trump, and Irish leader Micheál Martin. Journalist Aaron Rupar shared a clip of Vance speaking and quipped, “JD Vance went heavy on the eyeliner this morning.”
