As a single mom to my incredible daughter Emma, my life’s focus has been giving her happiness, especially after her father left us five years ago. Then, a snowy December evening changed everything. While walking our dog Max through the woods, I found two frightened little girls huddled together, shivering in the cold. They introduced themselves as Willow and Isabelle, nine-year-old twins abandoned by their mother and living in a crumbling shed. I couldn’t leave them there.
